Inner Child

About the course

Six gentle steps to healing the inner child

Inner Child Healing is an in-person course of six unhurried monthly day-sessions with Sheela Hagan. Drawing on seventy years of life experience, it is deep and gentle, fun and loving — a safe, grounded space to reconnect with the child you once were.

Who it’s for

An invitation, exactly as you are

You don’t need any prior experience, and there’s nothing to “fix”. Wherever you are on your path, you’re welcome to come as you are and take the work at your own pace. It is spiritual but grounded, warm and playful, and always held with care.

The journey

The shape of our time together

  1. Recognising your Inner Child

We begin gently — group guidelines, the Jelly Bean Tree, and learning how we know we have an inner child at all. Step one: telling the child's voice from the adult's, closed with a soothing Inner Child meditation.

  2. Meeting your Inner Child

A guided meditation to meet the younger you, a tender look at why we learn to deny our true feelings, and a first taste of how you'd like to feel instead — with gentle Nurturing Actions homework to take away.

  3. Nurturing Actions

The joyful, playful part of the journey — five small experiential acts of self-kindness, from laughing at a mistake to asking to be cared for, that give the inner child what it always needed.

  5. Review & the Mother Wound

We look back at how far you've come — sharing what's shifted, revisiting the Jelly Bean Tree, and lingering over childhood photos together — before gently opening the deeper work of the Mother Wound, with a letter to your inner child to write at home.

  6. Letter, release & close
