Day 2 of 6
Meeting your Inner Child
Day 1 helped you recognise that the child within is there. Day 2 is where you sit down together properly for the first time — and it is usually the morning people remember most.
The feel of the day
An introduction, not an interrogation
Nothing is dug up and nothing is forced. We meet the younger you in a meditation, we look kindly at the reasons we all learned to hide how we really feel, and we spend the last part of the morning on something far more hopeful: how you would like to feel instead. You share only what you want to share.
How the morning unfolds
Five gentle movements
How do you feel, one to ten?
We open the way we always open — with an honest number and no need to explain it. Then we share what's changed since Day 1, and whether you've started noticing other people's inner child as well as your own.
Meet your Inner Child
The heart of the morning: a guided meditation that takes you to meet the younger you. Afterwards we talk about who turned up, what they looked like, and what they had to say. There is no right experience — whoever you meet is the right one.
Why do we deny our true feelings?
In small groups we make a list, and it is always a long one — feeling judged, feeling criticised, fear, not feeling safe, not wanting to burden anyone, fear of rejection, past hurt. Seeing your private reason written up on someone else's list is quietly freeing.
How would you like to feel?
We turn the question around. Instead of what is wrong, we look at how you would actually like to feel — then use Theta work to gently loosen whatever stands in the way, and test again to see what has shifted.
Homework — Nurturing Actions
We close by asking the opening question again — how do you feel now, one to ten? — and you go home with your first Nurturing Actions to try: small, kind, real-life experiments that carry the morning into your week.
To take home
The first Nurturing Actions
Your homework is not written work. It is a handful of small, living kindnesses to try before we meet again — the beginning of the work we open up fully on Day 3. Bring back whatever you notice, in whatever words you have for it.
